Simple Secrets for Hosting Cookie Swaps

Here are helpful tips for a successful cookie exchange that yield delicious cookies and lasting friendships:

  • Time it right.  Choose a convenient date and time, perhaps a weekend morning.  Limit the party to two or three hours.
  • Keep it small.  Eight to 12 guests makes for good conversation and plenty of cookies.

  • Take it home.  Ask attendees to send recipes in advance, and make a recipe book to use as a party favor.

  • Mix it up.  Ensure guests don’t all show up with gingerbread cookies.  Ask what type of cookie guests are bringing when they RSVP.  Swap cookies during the party to end up with a mix of delectable holiday sweets.

  • Bake it well.  Use the simple secret to better baking, Reynolds® Parchment Paper, to make party-perfect cookies.
