Tips for Terrific Tailgates

Keep It Simple

Go for foods with quick and easy preparation and simple clean up, such as chips and dips, and finger foods.

Think Time & Location

When planning your meal, keep the time and location of the game in mind. For example, breakfast burritos would be great for an early game or for an evening dinner try Pizzeria Chicken.

Consider the Weather

Watch the weather for your tailgate party. If it's hot, grill a lot of your food. If it is cold, pack a slow cooker with some chili.

Easy Cleanup

To keep foods from sticking and for easy cleanup on the grill, line your grill grates with Reynolds Wrap® Aluminum Foil. Make holes for drainage and heat circulation in a sheet of foil with a large grilling fork. Place foil on the hot grill grates. Place food on foil.

Foil Packet Favorites

Flame-cooked foods are always a favorite at tailgates. Burgers and hot dogs are great but ribs and bratwurst are easy too when you make them in foil packets.

Grill Some Veggies

Packet grilling with Reynolds Wrap Aluminum Foil makes it quick and easy to create veggie side dishes or peppers and onions for favorites like Fajitas. Center ingredients on a sheet of foil. Fold and seal to make a packet. Place packet on grill.

Keep It Safe

Pack 2 coolers, one for frequently used foods and drinks and one for perishable foods like meats. Constant opening of a cooler to get drinks prevents foods from staying well chilled. Be sure to keep raw meats from touching other foods.

Grill Dessert Too

Who says grilling has to stop after the main course? You can grill great desserts too, such as Easy Grilled S'Mores
