The Path to Greener Packaging is Clear with New Biodegradable Shrink Film From Reynolds Flexible Packaging
RICHMOND, Va.--Reynolds Flexible Packaging will launch its newest film innovation, Reynolon® Biodegradable Eco Class Shrink Film, at PMMI Pack Expo in Chicago's McCormick Place from November 9-13 in Booth #S-2607. The new film is designed to biodegrade in landfills where post-consumer packaging film is most likely to wind up. After only a few days of concentrated exposure to microorganisms in independent testing, Reynolon Biodegradable Eco Class Shrink Film demonstrates substantially more degradation than standard Reynolon film and has been certified as biodegradable in an anaerobic environment according to ASTM D5511 by a NADCAP accredited independent laboratory. Like all gauges of Reynolon Shrink Films, the new biodegradable film requires less petroleum-based raw material than common shrink film and offers the same excellent shrink properties, machinability, and trusted packaging protection that is expected from Reynolon Shrink Films.
