Baco Rainbow Week helps makes healthy eating more colourful

Baco Rainbow Week is a great way for kids and parents alike to remember to eat their daily fruits and vegetables.

Monday is Baco Rainbow Orange Day. Enjoy oranges, satsumas, carrots, sweet potatoes, apricots, peaches and mangoes on Monday.

Tuesday is Baco Rainbow Indigo Day. Tuesday is the day for blueberries, raisins, blackberries, blackcurrants, purple grapes and plums.

Wednesday is Baco Rainbow Green Day. Five servings a day may sound like a lot, but with choices like green grapes, lettuce, celery, broccoli, green beans, peas, asparagus, kiwis, green peppers, okra and more, there are plenty of nutritious options.

Thursday is Baco Rainbow Yellow Day. Yellow fruits and vegetables like bananas, pineapples, honeydew melons, grapefruit and sweetcorn are tasty and healthy.

Friday is Baco Rainbow Red Day. On the last day of Rainbow Week, be sure to eat five servings of strawberries, cherries, red peppers, tomatoes, red apples, rhubarb, raspberries, cranberries, radishes or nectarines.

Cooking is a great activity for children. As well as helping them to understand more about healthy eating, it's also a great way to have fun and bond with your child.
